Start-Up is one of Scandinavia’s largest privately owned consultancies in the energy industry, although in comparison to consulting departments at international energy companies we are a small organisation. At Start-Up we excel in handling entire projects – taking on all areas of responsibility from conducting the initial study to achieving a fully operational plant – or defined tasks, such as accompanying the deployment manager during the end phase of a new build or the modernisation of an existing plant.

Consultants with the right attitude – and experience

Our consultants cover a broad age spectrum that ensures you can access experts at Start-Up who have sound experience of both old, analogue technology as well as the latest digital technology. The fact that we have a broad service offering means we can achieve many different things. A typical assignment can take from a few weeks to two years. Often we will undertake either an entire project or just specific parts of a project. Many of our clients also seek us out for cutting edge expertise, extra resources or for working with energy plant operations and maintenance. It is not uncommon for us to charge a fixed price for an assignment. We have experience in setting realistic prices for projects.

Start-Up and training

In order to provide our clients with the right skills, our consultants receive continuous training in the latest technology. Furthermore, we can also arrange training for others, such as when Start-Up is responsible for deploying a new plant for a provider and then goes on to train the end user’s employees. Cost effective and good, documented results are what make our clients stay with us long term. Many of them have been with Start-Up since it was founded in 1995, including ABB, Alstom, E.ON, Fortum and Siemens.
